While at the Baytown Nature Center yesterday I spotted this familiar subject in a mood to pose so I took advantage of the situation. I do think this is probably my best shot of the Osprey so far but I also liked the background. It was kind of a washed out time of the morning hence the black & white conversion.

Nice shot Larry! Love the imagery of the monument in the background! I suppose this would be the Baytown equivalent of an eagle perched in front of the US Capital Buliding?

Fabulous! It almost looks like the monument is shrouded in fog. The bird is pretty dark on my monitor, you might try lightening it up some, but otherwise, what a great shot! Also, a square crop where you remove the negative space on the left and the tree trunk on the right might be something to try...
I like the shot.
