Fishing at the BNC

I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours this Sunday morning to try and shoot something for this months BAPC Honors Night assignment "Summer in Texas". I did have a couple of legit opportunities but failed to capture anything that rose to the level of the contest. I did get this shot from the Baytown Nature Center, and a couple of other "nice shots", but all seemed a little to "light" - for lack of a better word.

To me this shot is a little flat and has several sugjects that don't work together very well. It might work better to clone out the bird and leave to fisherman and monument as verticle elements?

Cheers!

I think the fishing pole and the monument are about the same distance from the edge and balance. I would like to see a brighter picture.

Thanks Barry and Wayne.

Barry - it's worse than that. I don't even have to clone it out, just delete the layer! :)

Like the shot, but I wished that rather large bird had moved more towards the center of the frame so that you would have an implied angle from the top of the monument, to the bird and to the fisherman.

Nice job.
